About phishing:
Phishing is a method of
stealing personal security data. The personal security data can be web
banking user ids, passwords, debit card numbers etc.
Modus of operandi:
Ø
A
large database of valid email addresses will be procured by the fraudsters in
advance through publicly available sources.
Ø
Fraudsters
will send spam email to these email ids. This email is designed in such a way to
look exactly like an email sent by the targeted bank.
Ø
This
email will have links and on clicking this links, recipient will be directed to
a web site which looks similar to Banks’ web site.
Ø
This
site prompts the recipient to provide their user id, password etc which the
fraudster can record and use for fraudulent transactions.
Important:
We, Dhanalakshmi Bank, does not ask for any of your personal security
details like your web banking or tele banking passwords on the email, phone or
otherwise. Never ever disclose your passwords to anyone, even to the
bank's staff.

not reply to email request for financial information or other personal security
data like web banking user ids, passwords, debit card
numbers etc.
Ø
Do
not click on any link which has come through email from unexpected source.
Do’s:

Always
type in bank’s web site address ‘http://www.dhanbank.co.in’ at your
browser address field to access the site.
Ø
Always
verify the SSL (Secured Socket Layer) lock sign at the bottom of the browser
after you log in for web services.
Ø
If
you receive any email claiming to be from Dhanalakshmi Bank regarding updating
sensitive personal data, please forward the email to dhanamweb@dhanbank.co.in
